My Mission as a Pickleball Instructor:
Hello, I’m Tyler Garrett, and I am truly excited to share my passion and expertise as a pickleball instructor with you at tylergarrett.net. Having embarked on a lifelong journey in racquet sports, my love for the game began with tennis at the young age of 9, and has continued to grow over the years, now at 37 I enjoy helping others practice and hone their skills.
During my tennis career, I had the honor of being ranked in Louisiana, Arkansas, and Texas, a testament to my unwavering dedication and skill on the court. I spent four transformative years as a varsity tennis player at Plano Senior High School, where my weeks were filled with school tournaments and USTA tournaments that fueled my competitive spirit and drive to constantly improve.
Background
My love for tennis opened doors to a world of opportunities, leading me to participate in daily 2-hour school tennis practice sessions followed by an additional 3 hours of clinics after school. These experiences not only honed my technical expertise and strategic thinking but also instilled in me the core values of discipline and plenty of options for what to coach others.
After my competitive tennis journey, I ventured into rock climbing, yoga, pickleball, and business ownership. However, my true passion always gravitated towards coaching people to grow. I found immense joy teaching several tennis camps, clinics, and private lessons at clubs around Texas, nurturing players of all ages and skill levels.
Now, as a devoted pickleball guru, I bring all my knowledge and enthusiasm for racquet sports to help you thrive in this thrilling game. The same drills, the same pursuit of discovering your opponent’s weaknesses, and the same burning desire to help others refine their skills – they all resonate with me as a pickleball instructor.
